Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

I'd be interested in a AC condenser/radiator for an MK1, I'm tempted to pop along to the National Rally if anyone's heading there with one to spare to save on delivery costs
(Every time the weather gets hot it reminds me to get this done, black leather seats in a black car in 30 degree weather really jogs the memory)

Then I'll just buy one for £70. I thought they were going to be hard to find.

Before you order check which type you have.
Late Mk1's changed over to the Mk2 type and pipework.
Look at the connections.
Mk1 is long stub pipes, one middle of each side.
Mk2 is 2 pipes into one connector on passenger side.
Both types are available for a similar price.

While your at it check the pump also.
I do have a the complete set up spare, but the front rad looks like its corroding fast.

My new one came from a company in Wales 3 years ago, the front plastic frame needed a slight trim to get it to fit as it was thicker than the original but much better quality, no mixed metals which was the cause of my last one failing.

Mk.1 gas is r12 obsolete gas too but there are suitable replacment gasses that suit to save a system swap..
Mk.2 r134a which is the common system.. ive not seen a late mk.1 on r134a yet john. I know L reg ones were R12 but not sure about last M reg mk.1s...
S2 r134a systems are completely swappable onto mk.1 cars.

You need to find an a/c specialist with facilities for a r12 substitute, or a specialist to convert to r134a.
Or fit the relevant parts from a later car... (If some parts e.g. evaporator, are not changed then a special compatible oil should be used).
