The following XM is now FULLY MOT'd and ready to go to a new owner now:

Car:
2.1 SED Manual, with Lucas Mechanical Fuel system and NON EGR with plastic inlet manifold.
Goes Like F**K too! Impressive performance..
Manual Gearbox, clutch is good, no slipping. Useual SED stuff, All Leather, electric front seats, 4x EW, electric mirrors, sunroof the useual doesnt work. Glove box also doesnt work. Has working ORIGINAL PLIPPER too.
Doesnt use any oil or water all looks in good order. Starts instantly with no issues.

Has later SE alloys fitted with virtually new tyres all round. New exhaust also fitted to back box, which is replaced with a pipe due to missing rear most hanger. Little front nearside rust along the arch lip. Two strangely Dull patchs of paint on each rear lower wing quarters.

Car only done about 2k a year for the last 7 years! Spheres fitted last year, an ok ride but still slightly firm, likely needing an ECU mod done etc.

Anyway, I doubt it will be bought by anyone here, but thought id put it up and see if im suprised.

CAR WILL BE ON EBAY. Car is NOT my pricing, but the owners price.

Ah is this your landlords ex car? It's an unusual colour red. Best of luck with the sale, it looks good.

I think that red is Richelieu Red. Our '89 BX19RD was the same colour.

It is called 'Delage' according to the contemporary brochures I have Chris and a very rare colour on an XM! The metallic colours, ie. Mandarin, seem to have been generally more popular, or perhaps we just got what we were given! All the best of luck with the sale Paul and you certainly have put some work in! An early diesel manual with full spec must be quite a desirable car and surely worth more than £750! Regards, Matthew T.

A real boob, Matthew - thanks for putting me right.
That dark red is indeed Rouge Delage (1980-1992 it seems), often nicknamed Burgundy.
Have put my signature right.
I think it's a great solid colour, which, when kept clean, looks classy and subtle. Strangely unpopular at the time. Maybe looked less-than-wonderful in the trim brochures, where some colours definitely 'died'.

Richelieu Red was actually a Rover body colour. Now I wonder where that mistake crept in? Perhaps too much concours judging a long time ago!

Hi, long time lurker but this is my first post. So, hello everyone. I am usually on the BX club after having three BX's in the past.

I can't find the car on eBay. Is it for sale privately too or exclusively on eBay?
