hello my friend,

I come from Taiwan,
and I can't find the parts I need to modify my 97' AUTO XM 2.0 turbo to MANUAL one...

so I look for some parts I need in my project...
1.XM 2.0 TURBO Manual gearbox ME5T include flywheel
2.the gear change system for ME5T gearbox
3.Clutch control system for ME5T gearbox

I know if I use ME5T, I just could use my drivershafts of auto. gearbox...
so ME5T maybe the best project...or any other suggestion?

could anyone help me?

I could pay by paypal...
I wish to delivery them by ocean shipping for lower charge...

thank you very much!

Check out the MG5TB gear box as well.
These were used for the all 2.5TD XM's from 1994 until end of production.
Good number of these get scrapped over here at present.
Whatever you select get the recovered XM drive shafts added to the shipment.
Same applies to all the clutch (2.5 is a hydraulic clutch) and gear change bits.
Try to make sure it all comes from one XM then it fits.
The extra shipping costs will be minimal compared to time and cost sending off for anything that does not fit.

Paul (citroenxm) will be along on here before long.
He might be able to advise and perhaps supply the parts.

Interesting ... Any idea what's involved in adding the extra clutch pedal to an auto? Is the mounting bracket already there or is a significant amount of dashboard and heater/blower assembly removal needed to get to that part of the car? Is the brake pedal the same, or wider on an auto? I considere this change too - but not for too long! Steve

hi~I'm precious your replay both...
I forget to say the XM in my country is LHD...maybe the Clutch pedal is different from RHD in uk...

to John,
I think you are right...
but , does the ratio of the gearbox from 2.5 TD suit for 2.0 TURBO ?
and if someone could provide all bits of manual gearbox from one XM , I think I'll buy all of them to avoid wasting time...

by the way,
IMO, I prefer cable clutch than hydraulic one, so I look for ME5T at first...

thank my friends~

Putting a hydraulic box in a cable equipt car will mean a pedal box swap im sure. Though in saying that im still to fully and closely look at both a cable and hydraulic clutch pedal box unit. However of course as you point out you are lhd drive so you would need to source all that in europe.

ive got manual gearboxs here but sadly I do not know if they are for my v6 24v prv manual car I have. I didnt mark this particlar gearbox up.

I also think steve the auto pedal box is slightly different to the manual.. however its a massive assey that sits all across the front of the car and also lends support to the heater box..

hi, citroenxm~

ME5T gearbox like this,

the most easiest way to determine is there is a long rod on gearbox, maybe the function is change the gear you need...

The ME5 box takes a max 235mm clutch and this size was fitted to Mk1 V6's.
The MG5 box takes a max 242mm clutch and this size was fitted to Mk2 V6's.
I will add any further information that I find.
