N reg 2.5 estate currently on ebay

There is a "Black" 2.5 estate on ebay.
Needs a clutch and one bid of £100.

All 2.5 XM's (cars and estates) use the same clutch so the wrong type was tried.
Be aware that that no UK Mk2 estates were available in Black.
The internal trim level does not suggest it was a show or special order car when new.
I have previously seen dark Bronze XM's advertised as Black.
For anyone interested check the colour out if it is critical.
With the clutch replacement attempted by someone who did not have the right bits current state could be a critical factor.
Note that the correct clutch kit for a 2.5 XM retails at around £240.
As far as I am aware there are no cheap NOS ones around at present.

I had an estate a few years back, same colour, same year. It is a deep bronze metalic and is obviously so when viewed in person.
This one is an Ex I.O.W car from Central Garage.

I can clearly see on the Ad, its a Bronze Brown Colour. I had a 2.1 td auto in this colour, nice it was, I sold it to Rodders on here. N447 EBY IIRC...

This car is the same colour as it... interesting rare colour...

My UK colour/trim guide for 1993 shows a near-black colour Morello (superlustre), but for this MY is not listed as being available on Estates.
Tempest and Mercury Grey (both metallic) are the only other colours that come close.
2.5 not listed on this sheet, as not yet available.

I too am reasonably certain from the photos and my experience that the car for sale is Bronze.
As Dean points out the Citroen registration so presumably V5 describes as Black.
Full Black XM's tend to be very sought after and I posted simply to ensure anyone interested in that aspect checked before bidding.
