Being a white, no sunroof car, you nearly had me going for this, but a quick check shows the mileage to be around 199k miles, not the 19k as indicated in the post.

The HR suffix makes her a Wiltshire/Hampshire car.
White and no sunroof. This has to float someone's boat on the forum.

Hi cxprestigeauto, absolutely correct Sir, first registered in Swindon in 1989 and owned for the next 14 years by a company director, not sure how it then got up to Blackburn where I eventually purchased it in July 2015 (for more than double the amount that I'm selling it for !! - I know, but I just wanted one again). I've since bought another XM (younger, less mileage, and with sunroof and no tow bar) hence reason for sale.

First reg'd 1989 . . . but a Series 2 . . . so 1999, or 1998?
Ours was originally S472LTR, Southampton, f.r. 1 Dec 98 - and white!

Just noticed your location and am ever so slightly jealous, would love to live on the Med - less rust problems too !!!

Good luck with the sale. Although white was a pretty unpoplar colour new, particularly in the UK, it seems more sought-after now. Shows off the shape, and the 'floating roof', which is easily missed on dark colours. Also has the merit of not being lacquered, so nothing to peel. (Rust may not be a problem here, but lacquer peeling certainly is.) And no sunroof . . . to die for!

Thanks White Exec, Ah yes forgot about the dreaded lacquer peel and not the part of the world to have leather seats either I would have thought - OUCH !!! Not really a fan of white to be honest - too pimpy, my new one is silver which is quite nice, and.... I hate to use bad language but I really like sunroofs (luckily I seem to have one that behaves)

No need to be embarrassed by your preference for the sunroof. I love mine too but then I don't have AC so the sunroof is a bit essential

White paint is a 'hard' paint too so durable.
