This was my bro in laws car, it's low mileage and was running perfect until on morning it stopped. All subsequent efforts to get it going failed and the car has been stood for some years. The gearbox was perfect and it had had the headgasket replaced about a year earlier. It's a P reg Mk2 in usual green, pics to follow. If anyone is interested in taking this on as a project that would be great, but if not it will be broken in 2 weeks time. So have a look at the pics (upload tomorrow) and see if there's owt you want off it. Car is located in Wakefield.
Regards Ken

Hi Ken, Have you tried a lexia session on the car to find out what the problem is? If you don't have access to one I could pop over with mine to have a look.

Not tried the Lexia route but the car has been stood for some years now AND it's not mine. Here's some pics of it.
As mentioned above, would be highly delighted for someone to take the whole car as a project if there was any interest.

I see it's got a towing ball and headlight washers, also I see the suspension hasn't sunk much, what state is the battery in? It looks to be in good condition what is it like underneath is there much rust? And how much is he looking for to have it taken away as a project.could you post pictures of the interior.

Thanks,
Norman

I'll get him to take some more pics, the interior was in perfect condition last time I saw it. The battery will be totalled by now but I'm sure we could find one for it, as for rust I've now idea, no one's been underneath for a long time. From memory there was a rusty scab on the front subframe but that's all I can remember.
I'll upload some more pics as soon as I get them, meanwhile the car's located in the centre of Wakefield. I asked him about price last night but he said he hadn't really thought about it, but to me it want's to be scrap price or maybe a little above to compensate for some of the parts that it would yield.

The front jacking point is folded over so expect some rust there. As a cheap smoker, it looks rather good.

Had a quick look at this car this evening, didn't have the key so took these photos through the window. As mentioned earlier, the interior is in immaculate condition although the photos aren't too good. The mileage is about 80k

If you decide to Break this car I would be very interested in the Windscreen surround trim (A pillars and Roof ) and the drivers side door mirror/scuttle trim [sort of triangular shaped piece of plastic] as all these parts came off my car on the motorway and were not retrievable.

Many Thanks

Regards

Marc

I suspect it will get broken but we'd like to give anyone chance to take the whole car on first. Will certainly keep you in mind for these though.
