Wanting a TCT turbo unit. NOT an engine... just the turbo. One on a job in is COMPLETELY siezed solid! And Im now kind hoping its putting the tiny amount of oil into the water...

The oil cooler if fine, the Autobox cooler is also fine.

Thanks

Chris, thats his name!
He has a TCT engine he wanted to sell whole but not sure it did and i think he would part it out if no interest as a whole, get over to the FCF sharpish.

I emailed Edwards & Son Citroen Breakers at Billericay and had a response today.. 200 quid plus post. Now for a rare blower that is 1,340 odd from citroen new and around 600 quid oe i dont suppose thats a bad price..

Thanks mathew for the email address.. im just waiting back now to see what the owner says about the price..

For £200 for a used unit thats not far off the price of a recon being done on the current one!!

Have you asked Turbo Technics or the like for rebuild cost as i dont think its much more than £250-300 if that!
Its a basic old turbo so hardly complex :)

£200 to recon a turbo with a completely seized core seems a bit hopefull..... worth putting to the owner maybe, my main concern would be why has it seized though, bad oil line?

Owner said ok to buy another.. which may be best but need to get it off and inspect the houses...
Ive emailed Aet-turbos asking price repair kit and also exchange recon unit. Its a garrett tb25 unit.

I see you got sorted already Paul, however I came across this a little while ago:

http://www.sr20forum.com/turbo-guides/2 ... turbo.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It might be useful to someone in the future.

I fear I may be going down the same route as you did with my TCT....
