Rescue a Series 2 2.1 TD manual in black.

The garage that does the work on my car has had an ex-customer's XM in his yard for the last few years and he's decided that it needs to go in the next two weeks. I said that I'd ask here if anyone wanted to rescue it as it's not in bad shape for having been stood and would make for an excellent spares car. It's an N-reg 2.1TD manual saloon in black. Two pictures of it as it looked yesterday are here:

It's near Chester and will obviously need to be trailered away but it's too good to die and it could be yours for £100. If I had the room I'd buy it myself.

Interesting combo. Alloy inlet but lucas epic fuel pump..

Paul, I thought only the early cars, i.e. without EGR, had the black plastic inlet manifolds.

Epic went back to the plastic manifold. '96 makes it a really early Epic fuel system.

Lucas fuel system always had plastic as will said.. bosch was alloy with egr and then when they switched to lucas epic they switched to plastic with egr or so most were...
