After finally getting my 24V following the epic engine rebuild the previously non leaking water pump has had a change of tact and decided to leak profusely.
No longer available from Citroen and googling providing no suppliers does anyone know where to get a V6 water pump?
I really don't want to pay £350 for the Renault one on eBay!

Here's hoping someone can help.

Does the renault one feature a ribbed belt pully or v pully..

Ive got a new old stock one.. but.. yes im keeping it.. ive got another "Front Half" pump with the pully and another full used one.. is a used one worth the chance?? Theres an old pump still on the cars original engine in the shed again condition unknown and if they didnt leak how long before they did..

The Renault one has a multi rib pulley but will need to be swapped for the Citroen/Peugeot one as it's different. It also has an outlet that will need to be blanked off. I'll be honest if the genuine one was available and it cost that I'd have one on order now. I've spent over £3k on the engine rebuild so what's another £350. I'd chance a used pump but it's a big job to change it if it leaks. I'd rather pay a bit extra so I don't have to take it apart yet again.
Several companies made non-genuine pumps but I can't find anyone selling one.

Thanks but that's a pump for the later 60degree V6. Mine is the PRV engined 24V.
But worry not, a guy on eBay who advertises water pump reconditioning for classics says he can do it for £120+vat so happy days.

Yes esj v6 pumps are very different to the prv v6 ones. Esj pumps are cam belt driven where the prv doesnt have cam belts and the pump sits between the Vs and is driven by its own aux belt from the crank..

I had one rebuilt for around £100 inc. postage by SP Waterpumps a couple of years ago. Unless you are very lucky to find an old stock item replacements cannot be obtained. Regards, Matthew T.

help needed guys. The water pump reconditioning company cannot get the pulley off to rebuild it, they've had 4 tonnes of pressure on it to no avail. I need a secondhand pump so I can carefully grind the pulley off mine without damaging the spindle and then drill the spindle out of a donor pump without damaging the pulley. Then once the pump is reconditioned I can use alot more than 4 tonnes to press the pulley onto it.
