Mark 2 Philips radio cassette

My tape deck just started eating tapes and then died altogether today . I do have quite a section of old tape and in the interest of keeping her original as possible wondering if anyone has a replacement one - it's a Philips 22DC 594 35X . the car is a 1998 estate 2.O TCT run well after 134000 miles and recent sphere change

Hello conman (what a choice of forum-name!), and welcome to the forum.
I'm sure someone will be able to help out with the radio-cassette unit. Makes a change to hear of one of these actually being used to play tapes. I don't think ours has - ever - from new in 1996.
Whereabouts are you based, by the way?

If you have a working tape deck in a unit with unknown code and a unit with a known code open it up and swap decks over.. however tape chewing in the days of take was sometimes gunge on the rubber pinch roller.. try giving it a clean up with spirits or something simillar...

Well I found a two 6cd chargers and some parts of one radio/casette unit.
I'm from Croatia btw.
As soon as I get some free time, I'll check that up, and comment here !
