Looking forward to it, been reading all your posts about what you've done, very impressive. Do you know if the timing belt has been done? Worked on a good few Xantias over the years!

I can’t remember when the timing belt was last changed. Always worth changing it just to be safe.

Ray.

It's good to see it's been saved, they really are getting rare now and anything that isn't badly rotten, or crashed beyond repair, is now worth saving.

I'll get it done in work this week, anything else need attention sooner rather than later if you can remember? I believe the abs light is on so I'll take a look at that this week too.

Thanks, Chris.

Abs can be a pita to sort.. not always a sensor issue.. if all sensors test out as working then other areas can be crap on the rear abs ring teeth in the sealed rear arm.. however its not a sealed for life thing the rear hub assey can be removed for the teeth to be examined by .. wheel off.. caliper off.. 6x 6mm headded bolts off and hub assey out..

The next issue can be the sealed black pcb board mounted ON the abs block located behind the rads under the battery box.. best viewed from under the car. The box is held on by 2x torx bolts iirc.. and theres two plugs. It is a sealed box and needs cutting open along its edge very carefully woth a small dremmel.. theres a thread on here all about a discovery of dry joints on the boards causeing the light on..

Loght behaviour can give clues.. if it goes off then comes on after moving away then look at rear abs teeth. Light going out indicates all ssnsors good..

Autobox should have dex 3 and DEX 3 fluid ONLY changed every 6 to 10k to prolong gearbox life. We did this on an S2 td exclusive auto and currently the box is on 262k!! Without a rebuild!
