Wanted, reasonable cond. front R/H sidelight.

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Wanted, reasonable cond. front R/H sidelight.

Post by XM-hooked » Fri Dec 01, 2017 8:28 pm

Hi,
I took the car to a local supermarket, I parked at the back well away from trouble, or so I thought! I came back to find that someone had backed out around my front bumper. The R/H sidelamp was shattered and the body coloured plastic beneath it was split in two, the bumper is heavily scuffed and pushed back slightly. I've bonded the plastic with Araldite but I've only been able to pick up the bits of the sidelight and glue them back together temporarily.
If anyone has one on a scrapper or on the shelf then I would be very grateful, please contact me with a price for it.
Best regards,
Chris

Hi Raynoon,
TESCO! I asked them security guy if he had anything but he said no...... How much blood?? I really need to keep this car in A1 condition in line with it's 45K miles since 1993. The car had been in a frontal accident with the previous owner so both sidelights were in brand new condition so it was such a shame. My plan was to get the bumpers repainted next year so it didn't bother me except for the broken light.
Where are you in the borough?

It’s fairly unusual to find another XM owner so close by. You’re the 3rd now 😊

Might be able to find a sidelight if no one else offers.
There is a bag of them somewhere.

Thanks John, I've not had any other offers so far so If you've got one to spare I'd obviously be very grateful. Let me know what you want for it and if you have a Paypal a/c we can do it that way.
Thanks, Chris

RH side from the drivers seat or when looking at the front of the car?

Always looking from the rear, I'm an old hand! So it's driver's side, thanks John
