Well done Franklin and looks like a nice example of the early Prestige and also good to have the history. I think the colour might actually be Anthracite, a more bluey grey that I have on my almost contemporary 1992/3 2.0sei turbo (see below), rather than Meteor Grey, which is more of a gun metal colour and only used on earlier cars. It is interesting that the car was registered as late as 1993, since I thought the first Prestige was brought in just before the 2.0 turbo around early/mid 1992 to help shift the older non-turbo cars! My guess is that during 1992-3 not many XMs were selling after all the initial hype and teething troubles and your car sat around in a showroom for a bit. In the case of my 1992 sei, there was about eighteen months between manufacture and registration!! All the best with the work planned and hope you can bring the car to the 'X' rally.
