Quite possibly. Anthracite is a rare colour too and to my knowledge there is now only one XM left, after loosing mine, one of Matthews 2.0 turbo petrol manual, and also a BX near me somewhere in the same colour.
Yours is definitely lighter to me, so it must be quite rare too. I would be surprised if it is ETC.

Other possible colours given the 1992 model year are Silicon Grey, Silver Moss and Mercury. I think the latter two are both pretty rare. If you could find the code I am sure confirmation will be possible. With regards, Matthew T.

I would say that is likely to be Silicon Grey.

I would say either Silicon Grey or Anthracite Will, although the colour looks more grey blue/green to me and both Russ and my old cars were also 1992 models. Regards, Matthew T.

I'm going to say Silver Moss. ;)

...it's not Anthracite Matthew, it's too light for that. Strangely, my old log book say this is silicon grey...Image

I think Silicon replaced Anthracite Russ as the Feb 1992 catalogue only show the former, which might account for the confusion! It also appears Anthracite only made a very brief appearance that would explains the rarity and all the cars we know being 1991/92 vintage. With regards, Matthew T.

Here is a more direct comparison with my old car and I agree the other colour is definitely a bit greener! Regards, Matthew T.

Yep, very different. Rays is much lighter.
I get so confused with all the greys Citroen used. We need to complete a colour chart with all the body colours listed, paint codes and dates they were used.

I'm still working on trying to get the paint code, it's a mess under the bonnet. Can I see some pics of the area behind the passenger side headlight to give me an idea of what it's meant to look like and where the paint code is?
