This is Duffy, a lovely Welsh girl born in Bangor so I expect Paul knows her or went to school with her.

She has a gorgeous voice and sings beautifully. Some say her father is Tom Jones...

Her first album 'Rockferry' is absolutely lovely and in my personal list of all-time best albums it's right up there with Dark Side of the Moon...

Good point Russ. She seems to have disappeared.

Maybe she's doing more with the actress side of her career.

Or maybe she really does have an XM and she's kept too busty fixing it to sing any more...

I look calm and relaxed but I am at boiling point. Turby's developed a rotten lower ball joint. OK. Deal with I can hear you think. So I thought.
But what I did not know, is that the Bendix abs sensor, has no, and I mean NO means of unplugging from the wiring loom.
Now, is that a set back or not. Of course I cannot loosen the sensor from the hub as is usual.
But I am not able to dismantle the bloody thing now so I have been trying to build half a scaffolding tower connected to the wall of my garage but it won't budge. It means I now have to go to some garage with a strong enough airgun.
I am still calm and outwardly relaxed. Just boiling over :(
How on earth is this possible, an ABS sensor that cannot be disconnected and NO I DID NOT OVERLOOK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Hi Jaap,

Is it driver side that has failed? I had the passengers ball joint replaced. I got a garage to do it. Much easier than trying to do it myself. I never had ABS problems on that car, so I can't say if the sensor has a plug or not. But the plug does go into the engine bay area normally.

But yes, cutting and re-soldering is also fine.

Yep Robert, drivers side...Hey Furrie Gurrie! You both are right of course, that was the only cause of action. After my drill (still under guarantee) gave up the ghost while drilling out the 2 bolts holding the brake disc, I already knew I had ran out of solder..As it seemed all shops in town had problem as well....
Robert you change timing belts on your C5's V6. I don't believe you wouldn't be able to do that ball joint job :) But it's a lot of hassle, agreed. Part of my job is doing this myself or else I'd have to go back to full time work or go back driving cheap cars.... I wonder how many miles that old ball joint did. Was it expensive to have that done by a garage Robert?
