No, no mortar and pestle Jim!

It's a fancy and quite expensive thing (+100 euro's) some one gave to us. See pic and totally XM unrelated...

I had never heard of mushrooms repairs before but according to my tyre man, he refuses to use them and I listened to his explanations about this subject to one of his employees. Going too far trying to repeat that here but bottom line was: can be done better so don't go for it..

That is a posh one Jaap...

Looks like part of a driveshaft!

There's some rules to using mushrooms. They mustn't be used on sidewalls and not within 5mm of the edge of the tread..

That's a posh Garlic crusher Jaap. It does indeed look like an old car part.
Excellent news getting the tyres sorted out. I would have thought Mushrooms were too soft to use in a tyre.....

Well someone had to say it! ;)

Today I was at a citroen dealer to order a drive shaft seal. Waited around in the show room and sat in the new c4 picasso, found that the Berlingo next to it had more space for families...listened to what Liz thought about it all and saw a cabrio DS3. I was surprised to see the flimsy cloth wind deflector but I like the roof. There was a very rare citroen outside which I totally missed. I couldn't follow the sales manager, he talked so fast and I lost him but the very rare citroen was a C4 colour silver grey but hey, an automatic.
Good to sit back afterwards and warp a way in the XM :)

You look at this new stuff Jaap and still it doesn't have what it takes to replace the XM or for me the Xantia.

Of the choice there I'd go for the Berlingo. I have quite a soft spot for them and see them as a very useful and practical vehicle.

If I had to get a modern car I really think that's what I'd have.

I got to experience some new little Citroen action this week when I was in Jaap's homeland with work.

It was crappy basic hire car spec, 3 cylinder engine! Thankfully Holland is flat! Steel wheels and trims, no climate control etc.

But it was a really nice car to drive, nice soft suspension, and handles very well indeed. My biggest criticism was the seats. They were comfortable and soft enough, but gave me back ache. I was glad to hand the keys back after 1000km and 4 days use.

All moderns aren't bad! I'm sure that CX and BX owners were complaining the same way when the Xantia and XM was launched; as did Traction owners when the DS spaceship was launched... Nothing changes. Now C5 and C6 owners are complaining about whether their next big Citroen will have springs or spheres; and so the cycle continues!

I agree! Good show you ended up with that car, I always get the opel meriba's, Nissan Nucleairs, never such a nice citroen model. Did you ask for a DS3? Normally they don't guarantee a certain model car.
We personally will always walk behind the great mass of new car buying people and I don't mind in xantia's or Xm's. And it's cheaper too :)

Me and Dad took a new Picasso out a couple of months ago just to see, and well we weren't impressed. It is okay, but not a car to totally love. I think my dad was more into the DS5!
I find the plastic quality in the DS3 a little poor in places, I almost prefer the pug 208
But that is a nice colour combo..red and white roof. very Citroen!!

I have heard nothing but positive things about Berlingos though. Excellent cars. Brilliant workhorses and very comfy too.
does make you wonder.......
