I remembered the advice you gave me Paul when i bought mine off you...either a) dont use it very much, or b) dont let it latch shut, pull the lever, drop the door and then gently let it out again.

To be fair, i dont use it at all really...i use the centre arm rest hole as my glove box :)

That's exactly what I do too! I never really use the glovebox, everything is stuffed into the centre armrest cubby. Much easier. :)

For the past couple of months I've been looking for a decent garage to house Goldie but some folks' idea of decent is obviously different to mine. So as in the proverbial bus story three good uns come along at once. :D Except it's never that easy is it?

Two are full of stuff, loaded up to the gills, and there's no urgency to move it all. So no idea when they'll be available. The other is subject to a will after the old boy died and the family is arguing like cat and dog!

Some may see me being soft with not wanting to see her outside all winter but she is not a daily runner, she's a toy which I want to look after and the sooner I can get her under cover the better.

Neil NOTHING wrong with wanting a roof over her head.. I wish I could garage mine .. but I cant.

The reality is though at the age of the early cars and we ALL REALLY DO KNOW THEY RUST all XM should ideally be garaged now.. so no. Theree nowt soft at all...

Im with you 100% on this Neil. My rear cills were destroyed by leaving it parked up outside....albeit for a year and a half but still...inside is best 8-)

How are you finding these garages? I could do with one ;)

With what I have been finding recently, which isn't horrendous to be honest, but left could be a different story. But it reaffirms that Xm's of a certain age need to be carefully looked at underneath and sorted out pronto, and yes stored inside a garage ideally. Which is what I want to do, but don't!!

I agree Neil, Goldie needs a roof over her head. Hope you find a good one soon. :)

The two garages full of junk are actually full of . . . junk!! The owner used to run a second hand shop (although he calls himself an Antiques Dealer  ) and these garages were used as storage. He is slowly selling the stuff off, but it is slow. I tried to sow the seed of him putting all his junk in one garage when he had sold some of it off but that landed on stoney ground  . I will get the garage, but when now that is a good question.
