Excellent Eduarado.
I have done this to two XMs now with great success. It is a nice ans simple fix, and can be undone if needs be. Getting the electrovalves off is more fun.

Hi Ed.
What method did you use to press the new bushes into the track control arms and can you get the anti-roll bar bushes out with the subframe in position.

The hollow bushes are easy, how did you press the single one onto the arm? Did you drive it on?

Eduarado.
To press it on you must take care in positioning/timing up the solid rubber/cut-outs of the bush to the spigot/shaft and then just held the wishbone in a vice (spray some liquid grease down the bore of the internal ferrule/bush) and then forced the bush on with the use of a large persuader (Hammer) protecting the internal bush face with a brass block or a thin strip of sheet metal and then I used a socket to drift the final few mm's home when the spigot/shaft was starting to protrude.
Simple's !

I think Will (Dieselman) is referring to the SINGLE-ONE on the other-end, I did mine in a similar way to remove the old bush, but you must take extreme care not cut/knick the spigot/shaft or adjacent metal/materialDieselman wrote:The hollow bushes are easy, how did you press the single one onto the arm? I know it can be done using long threaded studding from t he other end of the arm, just wondered as my experience of driving suspension bushes can leave them splayed and unwilling to fit properly.
