Not a great deal has happened in the last month as far as the XM is concerned. The wiper stalk has finally given up and will only work with my hand pressing on it. But everything else seems okay.

But she has been pressed into use as my Xantia has had six new spheres and some new green blood, and she'll be in use again as I'm having the rear door shuts done on the Xantia in the very near future. Then there's some new tyres for her and refurbished wheel trims and we're looking good for a few years more out of her.

As far as the garage situation is concerned the original three I had in mind are as near, or as far, from a solution as before. One of them is selling his stuff off so slowly I get the feeling he really wants to keep most of it, and the other is still arguing over the will.

So in steps a relative of mine. Divorce and loss of job within the blink of an eye means one less car (and woman) and so, until he sells the house, I can use the garage to house Goldie over the winter. :D Clean and dry and big enough for me to do odd jobs.

One mans loss is another mans gain! 8-)

Certainly not another woman - I've got enough of them in my life.

As for the garage, that's fine, keeping her warm and dry. :D

My track record is in favour of cars. Even old Citroën's have proved more reliable than the laydees.

Yeah, but when one plays up we can fix it - when the other plays up . . .
