They are! Custard and plums, really nice colour combo. Driving a 2cv on lonely roads in France ....am currently restoring one to do so. Can't stop smiling when I drive a good one :)

They never fail to put a smile on your face. They are so much fun 2Cv's. :D
A friend of mine had a Plum and Custard for his first car. It is such a nice colour combination. He is looking for another A series, ideally a Dyane now. Got to save up the pennies though.

How much was the Cheltenham 2Cv. I do know of one. Reg number is E and the last letters LAB. Known as ELAB. Very well looked after car.

Do. Getting very rare now. My XM's are so good, I never have used my 2cv yet which is lying idle here but would function as a spare car.
I did use it to tow a Xantia home :) Only up hill, had to roll it back and try again, which is scary if you need to brake for a T-junction. Thankfully the xantia engine was still running so it did have brakes but ....:)

I hope you're not suggesting it went off over the horizon leaving you choking on it's exhaust fumes...

I wonder who was most shocked - a XM seeing a 2CV or a 2CV seeing a XM? :P

I ordered some new front discs and pads a week or two back, and despite giving the registration and the manufacturer of the braking system received the wrong ones as discovered when the the car was up on axle stands. Fortunately some correct pads were sourced locally and the discs were still in good condition and don't need replacing in the near future. Many thanks to Chris, again!

Other than that, there is nothing really to report - it is the Multip[la that seems to be taking all our money at the moment, that and new RFL. The XM could do with a service and a cam belt so I need to sort some prices out. Anyone any ideas on likely costs for the later 24v engine?
