Just under 300 faultless miles in the XM V6 today. 32 point something mpg with 4 adults and a full boot. Loved it. Just saying...

:D :D :D

I do agree that they are better off used rather than stood. I'm also having difficulty getting my Polo "runabout" back from my son at the moment which has meant the XM has been called into use for the sort of trips it normally avoids.

MOT coming up within the month... .... ...

I'm not aware of any issues but I'm still nervous.

Good luck then Rob,

On the MOT side of things there is really only rust to worry about and im sure you know your xm well enough to know realistically its MOT chances. Mechanically its pretty easy to prepare for...only joint gaitors which are hard to spot sometimes being split but none of that is expensive to put right :)

Another 600 mile round trip to Gloucestershire completed this week end with lots of enjoyment and no issues; I really do love this car!

MOT is next on the list then it may well be off the road for a little while, or at least I will be, as I am having surgery to sort out cataracts at the end of the month.

It's not just XMs that have issues with window regulators. My Polo dropped the driver's window completely while I was away at the weekend. Owing to no secure parking and January weather it had to be sorted urgently and at great expense! Bugger.
