Re: Gold 2.0Si
I have two spares, one from a G plate hatch and one from a J plate hatch, might have another from an N plate estate, I could part with one I suppose but the logistics of getting it to you may take some working out................ I am on the mainland with the truck on the 13th but time is limited.

Re: Gold 2.0Si
I wonder what the postman would make of it were you to cover it in stamps and fix an address then leave it lent against a post box

The Post Office rule used to be "If you can lift it over a PO Counter, then it's postable."
I once sent a Rover V8 crankshaft c/o local PO, without problem.
All been privatised, though, since...

I'll have a crack at that then I can have a real good look at the rear subframe, wheel carrier etc at the same time.
I don't know if anybody mentioned this as I've not read that far yet, but be very wary of working in a pit with the engine running, as it must be to adjust ride height. CO is heavier than air and will gather in the pit over time so either seriously limit the time you spend down there or (ideally) have some way of taking the exhaust fumes a long way away from the pit (my thinking is about 50' at least of flexible tubing sealed round the tailpipe).
Just thought it worth mentioning (or reiterating, if it has been brought up previously) although obviously you've posted plenty of times since 2013 so that means hopefully you didn't gas yourself, but it'd be easy for someone to overlook in possible enthusiastic haste to go fix their ride height after reading this thread

Gorgeous car by the way, never seen an XM in that colour before. I believe in Peugeot talk our Champagne is called "Silver Bronze", my dad used to own a 309 in the same colour. And if anybody feels the need to donate some more of those "marmite" wheel trims then I'm sure we'd be pleased to get them out of the way, think they'd look great on a silver car

Good to hear, though having now caught up with the rest of the thread I notice the gear linkages had a damn good go at finishing youEddie nuff wrote:I've just checked and I'm not dead . . . yet!.....

Haha yeh I'll have to ask him about those in the near future, we're just waiting for finances to recover enough to complete some welding and do some basic catchup maintenance on our new estate but when it's sound, reliable and roadworthy we'll be bothering the poor bloke for a few of his less favoured bits (we have an early S2) so we'll have to get saving for the high price such parts no doubt command
