Unfortunately you never find that out until you need it.
Agreed valuation has to be seen as a good thing. Takes a lot of sting out of the argument should a claim be necessary.

Couldn't agree more. I'm now with Footman James on an agreed value. You know your with someone better and who understands the car, when the chap on the other end of the phone starts to talk about how good the 2.1 XUD engine is!

Just for a laugh I had a dabble on the "we save you a fortune" search engines. Best offer I got was £158.
I'll stick as I am.

How's Goldie looking Neil? Hopefully I'll make a show or two this year in mine...when is the Northern Rally on?

Looking very well tbh Vince. T cutted her by hand for the third time before our hols and this time it's made a world of difference. Proper polish and wax to follow has left the paintwork like glass. Rubbers have had another seeing to and they're slowly getting there. Engine bay needs a tart up but tempted to leave that until the gear linkages and the underneath has been done.
All in all very happy with how she looks after two years work, especially as this hasn't been an off the road renovation. Bodywork looks a hundred times better than when I got her.
Will definitely be at the X Rally, looking to make at least one of the days at the Northern.

D
WE found that limited mileage didn't affect the quotes as much as we'd expect, can't remember figures now but there was not much difference at all, also I think commuting jacks up prices compared to social only...

Taken at the Northern
Been a while since I posted because tbh there's been nothing to tell. The car's running well and is looking good.
The intention is to try to get the underneath done during August but nothing is set in stone yet.
I need a couple of bits to finish off, such as the controller for the air direction on the heater panel, and a decent unmarked ns mirror case.
On this age of car should the seat belt fixings on the B pillar have caps over them?

Do you mean the bolts, if so, yes.
Your car looks to be riding high at the front, Neil.
