One problem I encountered was when I was fitting the gear linkages in. I felt a few drops of water on my face, turns out they came from the pipe that runs into the bulkhead, the pipe with the bleed valve on it
The picture's not brilliant as it was quite dark by now.
The pipe from the engine to the valve is in good condition but it's not very solid in the valve holder and may need replacing. In fact it may be prudent to do so.

You don't indeed but you do need to get to the abs sensor and unplug it over the top of the subframe as its threaded through the shield.

Wow neil, that must be the tidyest subframe and chassis area ive seen for a while.
My 24v is due another coat of underseal, though she is still all looking ok under there..
