Sorted!
I didn't think I was going doolally. There are two different seals for the washers. The newer style seals should fit like so
but when you press the pump into the tank the seal ends up here
So the answer is the rubber washer that, according to Citroen, doesn't exist. And as I can't get the washers then these will have to do
O rings! Three on each pump
Not a drip from either pump seal

Yep, that's the old style seal. Looking at the RP for your car four days later they would start fitting the new style seal. Keep hold of those seals, you'll never see them again.
The level sensor is different though. It's huge in comparison to mine, which is just a connector fitted into the tank.
