I realise this Ray but one doesn't like to brag about this kind of thing - best kept to ones self so as not to antagonise those less blessed. ;) :P

Such a relaxing pastime this car game. The plan today was so simple; fit the headline moulding and all the interior trim, fit the rear light, check all the lights etc, and then get it out of the garage for it's first wash in seven months, t-cut, polish and a coat of Maguire's on the plastic. Simple yeah? . . No!!

The moulding is a pig to fit on your own at the best of times, lost the wire to the passenger sun visor, that took an age to retrieve. Couldn't find the bolt to fasten the drivers seat belt onto the b pillar - somehow that had made it's way into the glove box :o Why the hell it was there I've no idea. And then snapped a piece of trim trying to get it to clamp into the plastic clips  Once I finally got that lot done the damn thing wouldn't start - battery as flat as a fart

I sometimes wonder why I bother.

It never ceases to amaze me how sods law knows when to put in an appearance. For the past four months I've been desperate for a really hot day in which to harden off the fibreglass on the headlining. Nothing, I've frozen my nuts off in that garage waiting for the damn thing to go off eventually resorting to leaving it in a greenhouse for a few days. Today, when I want a cool damp day to t-cut and polish the car, it's red hot

Taken after a wash and t-cut but before polish and Meguiars

Just the number plate to fit, drivers seat to sort (it's stuck at the back), and the drivers side washers to realign (must have disturbed them), and we're good to go. :D

That looks really, really good, i love it without wheel trims, just the fresh, painted rims.
I think it would be stunning with a set of black Austin centre caps on those rims..............with the Austin emblem removed of course.

My apologies if anybody had a little sick come up then, forgive my oddness.
