Hi All,
As if five XMs are not enough, I have just collected another V6, as seen in the attached photo with my Norfolk XM Buddy, Andy, alias Smoothcrusier. Some of you might have seen the car listed on ebay that was sold to a higher bidder although, following further enquires, it turned out to be still available. I have always hankered after an original 'G' plater and this one being relatively local and in Platinum - my favourite colour, as used in much of the early publicity - was especially appealing. It must be one of the first auto V6's having been registered in June 1990. Despite being extremely unkempt and needing quite a number of minor fixes, eg. missing radio, broken boot strut, etc., the bodywork is actually better than my slightly later manual. The mileage is 119,000 and the engine and gearbox feel okay, although there is no history apart from previous owners. A longer-term restoration projects I think!
Regards,
Matthew T.
