Hi all

Youve heard me talk about the car, mention the car, and this morning found three good clear shots of my landlords 1991 H plate 2.1 SEd...

And thats NOT a colour issue with the image, the car really IS the lighter "Red" not the Manderin that me and Wills cars are in.. Its the only one Ive seen in this colour.

The recap story is I aquired the car all in good order inside and mechaniclly.. though the sill were gone. I sat the car for some time trying to decide what to do with her as at that time I had no welder..

While the car sat around my landlord took more and more notice.. and then took the anamanious decision to have her from me. He made the descision to source replacment cills as a whole.. and we managed to source some complete cut from a 1997 P reg car that was in sound order in the cill department..

He had the cills fabricated into the car, resulting in one that has one of the best under neaths and cills Ive seen. Testiment to this the car has SAILED through the last 4 MOT's

The photos show its condition. She is kept rather cleaned and washed down every time she comes home from an outing

This car has the same RP number as my SED, but is 300 cars newer then mine.

Paul

I was about to ask if that car had a respray, as I have never seen a Xm in that colour before. It reminds me of the red Xantia that I had. Hermes Red was the colour.

She looks very good Paul. A credit to your landlord.

That looks a very nice example.

Are you sure the RP numbers are the same, I thought they had turned out to be different.

I think the paint colour is Delage red, solid colour, paint code EKA.

Like it alot. I'm growing tired of silver/green/burgundy XMs.... :( But I guess that's what people thought an exec car has to be colored in. Give me an Olympic Blue XM anytime!

Yes Will IM CERTAIN.. You do question a few things when I have possesion of them..

I understand mistakes can be made in areas of unsureness, but when under my nose its not as hard to mistake.

this IS the car that has the same RP number as my Manderin one, though they are very obviously different colours.

The reason I asked is because when you asked me to check the service Citroen site using the VIN it showed different RP numbers. I'm happy to be wrong, just thought that was odd. Either I checked the wrong VIN or the Service Citroen site is wrong.

VIN 4690 shows as RP 4937
VIN 4999 shows as RP 4944
