Hi Everyone
Looking for a bit of tech assistance....yes it involves a computer !! ....am looking to purchase a LEXIA DIAGNOSTIC INTERFACE PEUGEOT CITROEN DIAGBOX PP2000 UK Including the PC

Does anyone have experience with this stuff ? It comes with a lead to an OBD2 plug

I would like to know if this thing will communicate with my 97 XM V6 ?

Assume I will need a cable from OBD2 to 30 pin ? ..one that actually works

So anyone out there that could give me a few pointers it would be much appreciated

The 16 pin to 30 pin adapter cables are not easy to find now. The original Lexia 3 had a 30 pin round connector in the cable, to which was connected either a 30 pin rectangular adapter or a 16 pin OBD2 adapter cable. Later versions did away with the 30 pin round connector and had a OBD2 to 30 pin rectangle converter.

I think that they are hard to find now. I bought mine 15 years ago so can't help much with that.

If you get desperate, you can make your own adapter using an OBD2 socket from a later car and a 30 pin plug salvaged from the wiring harness of a series 1 Xantia, where the same connector happened to be used for a different purpose.

Note that when configured for a car with the 30 pin diagnostic socket, the pins on the OBD2 connector are mostly reassigned for custom purposes, and I have heard of people destroying their Lexia interface by selecting a vehicle of the wrong type.

These might help.
I haven't checked the accuracy of the OBDII to 30 pin connector diagram, yet.
