Early Dutch XM!

I thought I would make a separate post to introduce this interesting and really tidy early 2.0i spotted at the Chevrons Rally and hopefully the very nice owner, Thijs, will also join our Forum with more info in due course. The car is French market mid-level spec and one of the earliest I have seen and from the RP number 4635 I calculate a build date of 18th July 1989. There were some interesting comparisons with my slightly older Poland car (RP and build date 4572 and 16th May 1989) in that it had the same blue/grey tinted boot reflector and indicator and red petrol cap! Although the Dutch car build date is mid-1989 against the RP number appears '90', which is obviously the model year since mine has '89'. Regards, Matthew T.

Really nice example that. It's good to see a French car in such good condition and in platinum with the Italias. Lovely!
