maroon S2 today in Woodingdean, E Sussex

Spotted 5 mins ago driving through Woodingdean in East Sussex, reg no V*** JKV it was a maroon hatch being driven by a woman, I couldn't help flashing her (with my lights that is!) poor lady looked confused, especially since I wasn't driving an XM. It looked very tidy but then being a V reg probably one of the last ones.
Don't know the car but I had the same experience when I ran CXs, they were getting very rare and most owners would acknowledge each other, I remember flashing my lights enthusiastically to one in Axminster with no response - I then realised I was driving my wifes BX.
