The 25yo white petrol hatch L912*** has been spotted in Cheshire. The stylish classic was seen late on a Tuesday evening in a new build estate in Congleton, loitering with intent to carry people in extreme comfort.

A Search on here for 'L912' pulls up some history, going back to 2011. Good to see it's still on the road.

Re: XM spotted in new housing development!
Nice to see my car being spotted in Congleton. I bought this car after my sad story in the XM magazine last year, where I sold my silver estate (also from 1994) and intended to continue with my 1997 green XM estate, that appeared unfortuantely in a too corroded state. I am such an unhandy man that I could not recue it, but the same person who bought the silver estate (and has got it through the MOT again) has also bought my green estate, so I think it is saved for the future.
The white one you spotted is a lovely car and I am so pleased I have it. Some corrosion I have had treated, and it is in a great shape. It loitered to carry us indeed in great comfort. I intend to bring it to the 100-year Citroen event with my blue 1996 XM. Julian, do you live in Congleton, and do you also have an XM? I am not aware of other XMs in the area.

Yes to both questions: my delage red 2.1 SED (previous owner, JamesCarruthers, of this parish) lives just a few streets from where i spotted yours but alas it <ahem> 'doesn't get out much' - now being in need of some sill and subframe repairs and an MOT, all of which I am shamefully procrastinating about sorting!
Great to see your white hatch in such good shape, in daily use and likely to fly the flag at the centenary celebration.
