Muuuummm, interesting.

Talk to be about adjusting/checking the Turbo linkage --before-- I put it all back in the car.

As simple as this ?

Exactly that.
In my experience there is very little /no preload set as standard.
You can just lift and replace the clevis without having to pull the linkage.

It looks ready to go back on.
Ensure the head bolt holes are cleaned out and bolts can be easily screwed in all the way by hand, then oil them when fitting the head.

If you still have the option, fit the glowplugs and injectors before mounting the head.

All fuel control is electronic on the Epic system, no Lda to adjust.

Yes will I know.. This is me.. 😉 My brain bit just about works. I was refering to a complete mechical setup. One reason lucas is an Epic fail.

I was advised to do that after installation.....what are the advantages of doing it prior to dropping the head on ?

I'm not sure on that one either.. As the lucas pump is low enough to change glow plugs. I think heater plugs are best changed when a bosch pump is used.. As the bosch pump sits up in design over the flatter lucas pump..

I used a friends Snap on electronic t-wrench.....just set the angle and it adds it up as you go through multiple pulls then beeps when it get to 180 degrees total.
Wonderful piece of kit.
