That I find is a great stretching excersise.. One arm between the door and A pillar reaching the key while the other on the primer bulb., lol..

That was what got me fitting a push-to-crank switch under the bonnet a couple of years ago. Only been used a couple of times, but you never know...

Diesel pumps, including the Epic prime just with the Ign switched on, no need to crank.

The Epic pump closes the spill valve when power is applied, so any pressurised fuel will be directed to the injector pipes, rather than spill back into the internal reservoir.

As said, crack open the injector pipes and observe fuel being pumped, then tighten the unions and it should fire up.

Really? The priming of the Bosch (and Epic?) pumps happens when the first-stage vane pump starts to operate, and not before - unless the priming bulb/button is used. This needs some rotation of the pump, i.e. cranking, surely?

I did use the primer bulb, pumped it a lot to fill the filter etc till hard
