New here, happily driving a citroen XM.
Not true realy, my wife drives it to work and I may look after her and can take her for a spin now and then.
Few more old citroens in my garage as well.

Welcome Captain Haddock,
Where abouts are you based, which Xm do you have, and what other Citroens are in your fleet.

Thankx
Based in county Mayo, driving a blue mauritius 2.0 16v auto. Usually a Xantia 1.8 16v range and the CX 2.5 GTI turbo for fun. Have a 2cv to go into the bog soon and trailer some turf out:)
It should be all diesel, I know. Unfortunately we have to drive way to much to make this a sensible means of transportation. But whay do you do...

What would you experts, think it is a good mileage to change the timing belt on the 2 liter 16valve? Is the max. 120.000 kilometres? Myself I was thinking about 100.000 kilometres.
I' ve got the set here, with water pump as well, just wondering if I need to do this in the cold or if I can postpone it into the spring time. Either way it won't exceed the 5 years age any how.

I'd do it every 70K miles, or 7 yeras whichever is sooner. Or immediately if you have no record of when it was done.
The 2.0 16V is a nice easy one to do. You should be well practiced after doing your Xantia head! Its exactly the same only with a bit more room.
