Hello All
I have just bought my new XM I have been looking at one for a few months. I am biased but I am sure I have got myself a bargain. This XM is like new inside with around 53000 miles on the clock and has been immaculately cared for by its previous owner(s). It is a !994 series 1 in Metallic Blue. (mistral I think). It is a Onyx 2.0 turbo auto. Which I am led to believe was a limited edition model based on a si. I will upload pictures later this week.
The Registration Is L474 JCX, does anyone recognise the car. It spent a large chunk of its life in Cornwall. And has some service history from a London Citroen dealer too. Apart from the CD player which is non original and a couple of bumper scuffs and on small dent on the nearside rear quarter. (shopping trolley). This car is MINT.

Welcome dg23dg23
Sounds like a lovely XM you have there
Is it a Prestige? The Prestige was a special MK1 'run-out' model based on the Sei.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures!
Do you have a better name we can call you by? dg23dg23 doesn't slip off the tongue all that well

Welcome.
Is your new toy the same XM that has been on ebay recently? If so, it's a lovely looking car.
I was strongly encouraged by others on here to buy it, but I politely declined!
Can we see some pics?

Hello
Yes it is the one that was on Ebay last week in Louth. It now lives in Peterborough.
I believe the Onyx was the limited edition based on the si model. I will get some pics uploaded this week.

That is the car on ebay recently, it looked a cracking car. If it had been a diesel manual...
An Onynx is indeed a run out version, but I can't think what makes it different to a regular Si...I suspect nothing at all, just the badge. There was Premier, for base spec, Onynx for middle spec and Prestige for top spec.

Peterborough, eh?!! I'm just down the road from you at March.
Perhaps you'll be up for some Citroen Car Club Meets in the East Midlands Group - our base is at The Farmers Pub in Yaxley.

Gosh, my brain is bad tonight. I thought Onyx was the colour...
Time to sign-off for the night methinks. Spending a bit of time XM spannering today has clearly done for me...
Dennis, have you joined the French Car Forum for the Xantia and the BX Club for the BX?

Apologies,
I had set my signature wrong. I was meant to be listing my previous Citroen's. Sorry for the confusion.
