Hi im Simon from crewkerne somerset
I am a and have been a Citroen enthusiast since i was at school many years ago i have 5 citroens at present and since 1991 have owned over 180 various models including xm's
i have just bought a 1 previous owner series 1 xm td sed finished in mercury grey etw paintwork with full leather heated seats and air conditioning that has been garaged since 2007 after a minor accident which damaged both ns doors i paid a measly £238 on the bay for her and she is well worth saving :)

i am in the process of getting her back to good order she has a few problems like a diesel leak from top of pump
a coolant leak from either coolant pump or from back of engine

all in all the car was relatively well looked after and has every mot from new and heaps of paper work and history she is currently on 202.000 miles

Hi Simon, welcome to the forum. I have an SED too, but an auto. It's my second.
Yours sounds like a bargain. Do post some pics up so we can ogle at it and start a blog in the members area if you wish too, we can then see your progress and help with any issues. Hopefully you can solve the ones you have found already.

Hi Simon, welcome along to the forum, I too was after that car on eBay, but I am glad she has gone to a fellow enthusiast.

Please do post pictures up of your progress.

Regards, Ray.

I saw that mercury car on Ebay the other week. It looks very genuine and well looked after. A bargain at £238. A pair of doors and a bit of work to the cill, paint and it's good to go.

Lovely looking car, welcome to the team! It's going to make a lovely and bargainous car for you.

Given the water leak and the time off road it's probably worth doing the timing belt and waterpump which is pretty straightforward.

Where is the diesel pump leaking from?
