Hope you're right. I'd be going back to check under a magnifying glass and good light before fitting that one.
The exact spot should be easy to find - there's a rusty lump next to the starter tooth in that photo above.

Re: A conversion...
Did a couple of hours today.. and we managed to get the pedals swapped over and the hydraulic master cylinder in place in the pedal box... it was a fiddle but i got there..

Then after a bit of shoving and heeving.. we got the the pedal box all inplace.. however.. the next issue was now getting the clutch pipe through the bulk head.. it passes through on the passenger side next to the main loom pass through behind the heater unit... however the heater box is too close against the bulk head to get behind.. so.. now.. the heater box will need to come away from the bulkhead so i can get behind it..
However i did manage fairly easilly manage this..

Sucessfully managed to split the line.. making installing a little easier.. so.. in a word progress today.
While at it.. i also once AGAIN i checked over the flywheel and again no crack at all found.. thank god!

Re: A conversion...
Hi Paul
I managed to feed that pipe without shifting the heater box.
I ran a pull chord through first from the engine bay and picked it up by feeling up behind the end of the heater box. Feeding the rigid 10mm pre-formed plastic pipe through ideally needs 2 people.
One in the car the other twisting and bending the pipe in the engine bay. If there is no one to help then a length of rope into the car from the pipe in the engine bay can let you twist the pipe through and into place. The cover on the end of the hydraulic pipe is very important as the end scrapes against all sorts on the way through.
I used a finger cut from a latex rubber glove held in place with a bit of insulation tape.

Re: A conversion...
Some more progress today..
Firstly. . After i removed the grommet from the clutch line way through it simply pulled out.. i actually managed to get the clutch line in.. i fed it through to to the passenger side and fed it through and round.. once it was into the car properly it popped into its fixing route.. sucess..
A day now spent getting the interior back to how it should resemble as a car.. but not till the gear lever swapped over... which was achived by lowering the exhaust centre pipe and removing the heat shield..

And in goes the dash...

And reassembley done for now..
Attention can now turn to engine and box install and seeing if the auto shafts will fit.. if not then we have another head ache..
