XM aftermarket wheels

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Don't do it.

Original equipment wheels can't be beaten, in my opinion.

I got a set free with a car I scrapped. They are OZ, unusual six spoke and look very cool in a sort of conservative way. Slightly wider but the 205 60 tyres fit fine. Don't buy any without the bolts as original bolts fit only Citroen wheels. Don't forget if you buy 4 you'll need a spare so will have to carry a wheel set of originals to fit the spare.
You need to measure the offset too as rear arch space is not huge. The original wheels have my winter tyres on and the OZ my summer pirellis so works well when time comes to change.

Hi Hank

Almost all Volvo wheels do fit fine and look pretty good as there is a wide range of styles that work well with the XM shape, I recently tried a T5-R Pegasus 5 spoke on my XM but it was 18" and was super tight in the rear arch, ants would get crushed in the tyre to arch clearance and I suspect in use you would need to fold the rear arch lip over to make it work but stick to the 16 and 17" and you wont have any issues.

Hi D, I was thinking about trying Volvo wheels, but none had the correct offset-ET or width. Which ones would you advise? I'd like 16" x 6.5 five spoke. Any advice would be most welcome. hank

These Volvo rims fit perfectly and use the original XM wheel bolts. I got these 15 inch rims thrown in for free with the (used) winter tyres some years ago. Sold them on later to a Volvo owner after I got myself sets of XM rims :)
16 inch rims may look interesting, but I still tend to think the XM rides best on original spec wheels and tyres.

Are the centre spigots the same size on Volvo wheels asn Citroen wheels? If not the load is being carried on the wheel bolts, not the spigot.

Im not sure but they fit so are either the right size or too big, all you have to do is buy the nylon hub spacer rings, its the same thing I have for my alloys and that allows the weight to be carried in the hub flange but more importantly the wheel to mount correctly and center to the hub.
