If it is a trip computer, beware that european units are metric and UK units are imperial, although maybe just the LCD panel could be swapped from one to the other.

Re: Hello!
Have replied offering complete displays.
It is not possible to reset the temperature display type from F to C or C to F.
Those letters are built into the LCD.
The same temperature sensor and signal is used for both types.
The calculations to turn signal to display value are built into the electronics software.
So a C display put in with F electronics gives F numbers with the C symbol on the display.
It was only the first year of XM production that got the F display, then UK cars got the standard C display.
That later C display was used unchanged in the upmarket Mk 2 XM's.
Display bleeding is a problem in some but I have a few good ones.

You must have spent less time on it than you thought seeing as you found time to put a coat of wet-look wax on.
If the leak is a rubber, strut return hose, they are available for not a lot, but as a temporary fix, just trim it back a bit. They always crack where they connect onto the metal pipe.

Re: Hello!
Right guys, got back early today so changed the oil and looked closely everywhere but no leak now? Could have just been contaminated water etc from previous oil changes. Anyway drove here for a two Mile spin and all seems good except the brakes. The calipers are sticky but you would expect that after 10 years! Going to give her a full service any recommendations for a garage in the north of England or better still Scotland. Spent 30 mins washing some of the most off and all the autoglym my old man used has helper keep the paint in good trim.

Re: Hello!
That does look really nice Peter and please let me know if you would like help with a replacement rear light! That is also very good news about the earlier leak, although be prepared for other possible hydraulic issues! An early manual V6 12v with rhd is certainly a rare and precious beast and over the last ten years I have only ever seen two others in the UK apart from my gold XM. If you are looking for a specialist to service the car, the only garage that comes to my mind in the north of England is Malcolm Savoy at Blackpool, although others may have better knowledge. With regards, Matthew T.

Help with the rear light and also the passenger front side light if you can would be great. I'm going to put a list of things together as the weeks go by and will update it in the wanted section. I forgot to say that the speedo is not working any ideas on that one?
