Note that there are several variants of steering wheel that look very similar, but are not directly interchangeable.
Xantia wheels are 10mm smaller in diameter (which may not be a problem for you) and the stereo controls are different.
There are 2 variants of Xantia wheel (just for the 4 spoke mk1 versions with airbag and stereo controls), depending on whether early late airbag system, so about 16 variants in all... I imagine that the XM has at least as many variants.
