2 & 3 - maybe for both Bosch and Roto-Diesel injectors, if the kit is a tad generic ?

No.1 main bearing cap.

Stickfinger,
Did the copper washers not overlap the lower bore slightly, if so, could a hook not be used underneath the lip?

The seals are for all items that protrude from the block, camshaft, vac pump, crankshaft, water pump or oil cooler, oil decanter.

Thanks for the input chaps.

Re the copper seals, No, they did not overlap the edge, in fact they are short of it.

Maybe they were never the correct ones.
Will be interesting to see how the new kit ones drop in.

That is what I suspect, washers were undersized and a low quality copper alloy, this has allowed a lot of movement (flow) of the copper.

Anyway, I am moving on and dropping the cylinder head into the engineers today for a skim and a valve cut.

Once that is done a quick clean up of the ports (I have a one off chance to port match Inlets and exhaust) and I am tempted to "do some mods" to make it breath a bit better before rebuilding it all.

Report back from the engineers who are skimming the head, the head is fine, swirl chamber realigned and fine.

Also, the two sticky valves bent at the top of the stem (rocker end) and not the valve cap end

As I now have good access I thought I would degrease and clean up in the bowels of the engine bay

and pay a little attention to the Turbo/EGR/manifolds.
