Anywhere that can supply p/n 454552.

There appears to be better availability of rear sensors, p/n 454566, so you could obtain one of those and shorten the lead.

That is interesting. What I can see, p/n 454552 is a nice front sensor for XM, easy to buy.
Have you meant 454565? As 454566 directs to "front sensor for XSARA". I wonder if it fits well as an XM's rear sensor?
From my experience, it is quite difficult to find a rear ABS sensor for XM, either 454553 or 454565. I saw some used or new/old stock some time ago for an insane price. If having to replace a rear ABS sensor now, I would, probably, convert it from a front sensor 454552, but it is always better to find a part that fits.

Rear sensor is definitely the rare one. I bought an original ATE front sensor for ~45€ from a common parts supplier just last month.

I'm led to believe vw golf mk.4 sensors use the same or increadably similar sensor head as the xm one and are deemed a suitable replacement.. the only thing is that are plugged at the sensor so the xm cable from sensor to connecting plug on top of the subframe needs soldering to it .. but once done works well.. however I have a feeling after sll that its forthcoming bendix sensors, 1989 to 1995 usage... as the tevis sensors 1996 onwards are still fairly obtainable..

Thanks morda. I looked up the P/n which is 454565, but on searching for it was directed to 454552 which I inadvertently copied over.

Golf Mk3, or Mk4 abs sensor fits but needs the metal bolt collar cutting down to give the correct spacing. P/n 1H0927807

It is Teves sensors we are currently looking for.

P/n 1H0927807 works like charm. Great finding, thank you for that!
I had to replace both rear Bendix ABS sensors. It was needed to cut off about 1.5mm of brass to get the right sensor length, but should be measured individually for each sensor. In my case the difference between left and right was comparable to required 0.5mm gap.
One thing to add - this sensor is a LEFT one, it will fit nicely to the RIGHT side. Because of the configuration of the available space, on the left side it will collide with a little with the brake disc guard shield, and will have to be grinded a bit to fit. To make things ideal, 1H0927807B is the part number for the RIGHT sensor to go to the LEFT side.

The pinout that worked for me was: green wire --> pin 1, brown wire --> pin2 at vehicle female connector side. Original wire has brown wire for pin 1 and black wire for pin 2. Pin 1 is connected to a pin of 1H0927807B sensor, which is closer to the rib on the outer side of the connector (at the bottom, when the sensor is installed). Gabor's diargam shows something unusual about Bendix sensord, I think pins are swapped there.
