The 605 is a very good car -very accomplished- that deserves all the respect. And there must be only a few 24v in the UK! If I didn't have already 2 XMs, I'd buy this and give it all the love it deserves.
I remember that in comparative period road tests it was usually preferred to the XM for being more on the sporty side of handling. Excellent handling, no matter in what magazine/year/country(!) was the test done.
BTW this (the 24v) has electronically controlled shock absorbers. Don't know if it's 2 stages or a more progressive function. But in a document I have, the sensors it uses look like identical to the ones the XM uses (which would make sense)!
This, the XM 24v, and the Thema 8.32, are the 80s-to-90s executive saloons I'd like to savour for a while, or for more...
