Just spotted this on Car and Classic:

Series 1 XM. High spec SED model with many refinements.
Full black leather interior in lovely condition.Electric seats, windows, sunroof, armrest.
Aircon and climate control.
Runs beautifully with registered 158k miles.
12 months MOT and 6 months Road Tax (From begining of January)
This is a private sale. I am an XM enthusiast having owned 7 examples over the years. I have spent a great deal of time and money getting this car up to standard.Recently: New Accumulator sphere, 2 New front corner spheres, New fuel lines,All wheels balanced. Now rides and drives as it should. All electrics are working including both dot matrix displays.
I have carried out this work during the Xmas/new year break and am shortly due to return to working away hence the sale of the car.
The only problem I haven't erradicated is with the central locking, which pops open again on locking.This is a well documented problem on various XM websites and is easy but time consuming to rectify hence I,m offering the car at the price of £895.

That was on e-bay recently. Would be a good buy with a couple of hundred quid knocked off, depending on the overall condition of it.

It had no MOT when on the Bay a few weeks ago. All in it's probably a good buy at the price it's at now.

It's the one that Sold for £216 and the current owner re-listed with a starting price of £250 (But zero bids) it's been on THIS post/thread of the forum, hopefully someone will buy it with MOT/Tax on it now ?

I think that could be an excellent car for Harryjoe.

I was tempted myself when it was on Ebay with no MOT, at the new asking price I'll give it a miss. Of course asking and offering are two different things.

If I was genuinely looking for a 2.1 manual I would be giving this one serious consideration, nice spec and colour, genuine car, the required work is obvious.
