Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Very good!! I had to pick myself off the floor when I 'discovered' the cost of the fluid used in the clever autoadaptive
4HP20 in the Xantia - that's just rude. Mind, Halfords probably take that accolade for the price of a single measly litre of
boggo LHM in their fine establishment! Anyone been forced to actually part with their hard earned recently to know the
silly price charged there??

I guess it won't be a massive surprise but after being used to buying LHM for £3.70* for Morris'
and £4.50* for Total at GSF, seeing it in Halfords own black container for £10.49 was a shock
yesterday!!
*it changes from one visit to the next dependent on the mood of the guy at the counter and
whether I'm pushy for a 'club discount' if it isn't already offered.

Blimey!! What is it with you lot. Why would you ever even darken the door of the 'shop that can't be named' (but starts with H)......
........ No. I can think of no plausible reason.

There's nothing wrong with Homebase
I should've gone there for the wire terminal joint blocks in the first place.
I happened to see the LHM near where there was something else I was after.
Didn't buy that either - I can't see how they can justify the rip off prices.
I'd wager the main Citroen Agents can't match the £10odd per litre price;
I wouldn't know, never paid for LHM at one but the local Cit Indy doesn't.

GSF probably do about the cheapest LHM but their nearest store is in Exeter, about 30 miles away, which is fine if I'm going that way, but a bit far if not. They do have though an excellent mail order service, next day delivery usually, and post free if over, I think its £60.00. So if I send them an order for spheres, say, I add enough LHM to make up the money, always keeps me well stocked up for the eventuality of a catastrophic leak.

I think Halfords is alright for somethings just like any other chain of retail shops.
You have to pick and choose. Their 3 for 2 offers are great value. The fuel filter they sell for the 2.5 comes with all the bits and pieces needed to ensure that it seals correctly, the ones from GSF are missing some of the bits. I think the Halfords one was about 75p more when I bought it. I like their tools too, the flexible head ratchet spanners are a god send for head work.
The LHM price is truly shocking, they're definitely going for the panic sale there!
