Re: Two more 2.5 estates
As long as the rear subframe to body mounting area is Ok, then a bit of sill welding would be Ok. The rear subframe to body mounting area is slightly complex, and would need to be perfect.

I shouldn't think so Paul. It's a lovely car that and certainly not a bit rusty....citroenxm wrote: The "Cobalt" one??

Like MTXM Mathew Thomas, all of Wills are very nice and clean! Wish I could keep mine the same!

It's the Mandarin one. I need to get onto seeing how much needs doing to it. It's not too bad, but the sills need welding.citroenxm wrote:

Re: Two more 2.5 estates
Update on the two 2.5 estates.
Now using the silver car as a daily runabout van.
Lots of little anoyances keep turning up but it goes ok.
Wet headlining when it finally rained here.
Mad professor seems to have rewired the dash so that put paid to just plugging in the two cruise switches.
Engine oil cooler is from a 1.9TD and has some inovative pipe work to connect up.
Tipped the rads back to check on the condition of the hidden small one.
Found that it was missing having been replaced with a little bit of bypass piping.
Had to sort the wiring, relay and fuse box in the engine bay to get the fans running correctly.
Have decided to scrap the blue 2.5 partly because it has stood SORN a good while outside with the sunroof partially open.
Just too much needs doing to retieve it, mileage at 230k is against it so easier to remove the critical spares.
