I supose being out the front with little or no heat and lots of salt and water isnt going to help either.

Are aircon cars prone to the same problems? I suppose the a/c rad takes the abuse instead.

There is more potential to trap leaves i know that much, the O/E condenser's are not a great design to be honest with steel brackets riveted to the alloy but then mine lasted maybe 15 years so i cant really complain.
