So has SWMBO allowed you to buy another XM then and have you still got the Black Exclusive when I last saw you @ the Wetherby meeting in 2010 ?

If you can take some better pictures than the E-Bay ones, like the interior etc. after you got the XM home and post them up on the forum that would be excellent of you Ray ?

Having been in a late V6 Exclusive at last years XCM, I think it's a very under-rated car, quiet, comfortable, smooth. All in, lovely, so well done Ray.

Thanks. It does indeed. I was sure it was going to go for much more, and when it looked like it wasn't going to, I had to have it.

Yes, I suppose I have been conspicuous by my absence from BXC. A combination of not having a BX anymore and some rather unkind remarks directed my way made me question my motives for logging on, although the main reason has been time. I've moved house, began a degree course with the OU, it all adds up - especially as my illness makes me very tired sometimes

N and I are currently separated - it's so hard for her to get a visa (contrary to what some people may think..) and I can't afford to study anywhere else, and haven't been able to find a job, so for the moment we're both living separate lives, although both trying not to do anything that will make things worse, IYSWIM. I think she's given up trying to persuade me to be sensible with my car purchases, although I'm planning to downsize considerably.

I do still have the black TCT Exclusive as my daily drive, though that will be sold once the 24v is up and running. It has been wonderful in the 26-or-so months I've owned it, and other than a sticky rear height corrector linkage and a weep from the pressure regulator I've had no problems at all, and spent no money other than fuel, LHM and screen wash! Other than the usual disintegrating suede on the drivers seat, it has to be one of the tidiest TCT's out there, and I'll be keen to make sure it goes to a very good home.

Hi Steve. Yeah, I'm really pleased to have managed to grab my 2nd favourite XM (a 24v S1 might just win it for me - it's the dash, and I have an aversion to the S2 spoiler...) for not a lot of money, even accounting for the gearbox. Especially compared to WHM's prices. But then we should be grateful, as they are largely responsible for elevating the average value of XMs

Thanks. I used to have a 12v SEi (Now Lez Briddon's) and did enjoy the V6, although I have been impressed with the 2 TCT's I've owned. As some of you know, I drove from Hull to Malta (minus the wet bits, where I used ferries ) in Feb 2010 in my current TCT and it made short work of the miles (I drove from Livorno to Hull inside 24 hours on the way home, including an overnight stop in Turin) and can certainly shift along the Payage roads in France. It's not easy to consider selling it, but this new 24v looks as though it will be worth it.

It's strange to be welcomed as a new member - I used to be a member here years ago, but I think my ID evaporated. I've been a member of the Yahoo XM-L group since 2005, and a few of you will know me from BXC and CXC etc.

Anyway, it looks like a stunning car, will be worth doing the cambelt while the engines out too i would think for peice of mind, look forward to seeing the pictures when you get her home.
