VSX 2.0i TCT AUTO green saloon - P*** *GJ ebay#2

112k at £176 reserve not met - looks nice even for an auto!
A beautiful and rare Citroen XM VSX auto executive hatchback with full leather interior.
Made in 1997 and still in a very nice condition.
This car has just over 112.000 miles on it's clock. The black seats are almost immaculate. Beautiful steering wheel. Colour - very deep metallic green. There are practically no scratches or indents on it's body. On both front bumper's corners there are traces left by some cars not too cautious when trying to get from a tight car park space, but these are exactly that - traces on the plastic of bumper.
The car just got fresh MOT with almost no advisory notes. The road tax is coming to end this month.
In just over 2 years that I owned this vehicle I had no troubles with it - apart of having to install a new back part of exhaust system. I also bought and had installed a towing assembly that cost me good 200 quid, as I wanted to travel with my caravan. Soon I had second thoughts about that, as it seemed to be quite silly to use such a thorough-bred executive vehicle for towing.
As I really have no other use for a car apart of caravan travels, I decided with heavy heart to sell it and to buy instead something simpler, more like a Xantia.
I have papers for the car's regular services up to 99.000 miles, which was in 2009. After that soon it came into my ownership, and apart of oil changes I only had to buy a new battery (about a year ago) and change the back part of the exhaust.
On the bad side: when changing the battery I bravely disconnected electrical chain thinking the radio will be ok, as I had it's code. BUT - it was not. The radio is OK, but I have no idea how to put in the code to make it work again!
Another bad thing is the driver's window which was just kept up in place by piece of wooden plank. After long search I got the window regulator and will try to have it installed before the auction comes to end. But I can't promise I will be able to make it in time - in which case the buyer will get the regulator and a bit of work to put it in place.
All other electrical systems on this car are working as they are meant to do - apart of nearside mirror which has to be adjusted by hand. On the rosy side - the sunroof is working very well and has no leakages whatsoever. The key opens and closes the car from a distance. I also have a spare key but a simple one, without a remote.
All in all - a beautiful car for very little money.
I live in Bexleyheath, SE London, and would strongly advise potential buyers to come and see this vehicle before bidding, as a bid is a bid to buy, not to come and kick the tires.
Payment in cash is preferred.
As vehicle is advertised locally as well, I reserve the right to end the auction earlier. Good luck to all!

You are quite correct - I swear I read the second listing as reserve not met too!
That's it, I've lost the plot, if anyone finds it unattended tell it to escape whilst it still can... :?

Makes you wonder whether the second listing had a final 'Genuine/Real Bid', So will it be THIRD-TIME lucky ?

This car has done just slightly over 112.000 miles. The black seats are immaculate. Beautiful steering wheel. Color - deep metallic green. There are practically no scratches or indents on it's body, just on both front plastic bumper corners there are slight traces left by some cars.
It has fresh MOT with almost no advisory notes. The road tax runs till January 2013.
In just over 2 years that I owned this vehicle I had no troubles with it - apart of a new back part of exhaust system and new battery installed.
There are records of the car's regular services up to 99.000 miles, which was in 2009.
Shortcomings: Driver's window is kept up in place by piece of wooden plank. I bought the car with the window regulator cable broken so I asked a friend, who is a mechanic, to repair it. He somehow mislaid and possibly lost the regulator, although is still trying to find it. I've used the car for 2 years like this, and the only inconvenience is when you have to get car park ticket out or in the slot.
All other electrical systems are working as they are meant to, apart of nearside mirror. The sunroof is working very well and has no leakages whatsoever. The remote key opens and locks the car from a distance. I also have made a spare key, but a simple one, without the remote.
All in all - a beautiful car for very little money. I am selling it for lack of use - it seems a bit silly just to keep it on the road for it's beauty.
It has a Bluetooth Parrot, allowing hands-free use of mobile phone (some 150-170 quid to install), and a recent towing assembly.
The car is located in Bexleyheath, SE London, and potential buyers may come and see it before bidding, as a bid is a bid to buy, not to come and kick the tires. It is very unpleasant and cost money to relist - after some irresponsible guy wins the bid and THEN starts thinking about his problems with insurance or would his wife like the green color or not.
Payment in cash.
I reserve the right to end the auction earlier, if some person in the street comes by with a decent proposal.
And please remember that 5 months of road tax cost 100 pounds and 16 pence. Let's take July off, at my expense.
Who wishes to see the car or ask some questions, my phone is 07765 501479. You are welcome to call. Especially bidders with ratings below 100%!
